Eric Bisignano, CPA

After spending about 9 years as a federal auditor, Eric began pursuing Charitax full-time in January 2014. The first 4 years of Charitax was just Eric at the kitchen table, but has since blossomed into the dream team you see below helping hundreds of people each year. Eric works with individuals, businesses, and nonprofits on tax and accounting. He specializes in working with creative business owners (designers, photographers, film makers, wedding coordinators, artists), service-based businesses, and clergy taxes. And for new solopreneurs, Eric has the heart of a teacher and will help you gain confidence in your new business.
Eric lives in Gahanna, Ohio with his wife, Jill, and 6 amazing kids. He enjoys listening to podcasts, playing euchre, sharing memes, talking about stock picks, and pickleball dink shots. He is also (too) obsessed with the Enneagram and making Neapolitan-style pizza in his home pizza oven. Eric earned a B.S. in Business Administration from Heidelberg University in Tiffin, Ohio, and a Master’s Certificate in Project Management from The George Washington University in Washington, D.C. He is a licensed CPA in Ohio, but works with clients from coast to coast.
Jennifer McHugh, EA
Bookkeeping + Senior Tax Specialist 🐈 👨👩👧👧 🤓
Jen started at Charitax in 2016 after several years as a stay-at-home mom, which included a lot of time volunteering in her kids’ schools (mostly in the library or with tasks involving spreadsheets). Prior to that, she worked for almost ten years in the insurance industry. Jen graduated from Ohio University with a B.S. in Mathematics and a minor in Business Administration. She's one of the most organized people you'll meet and she won't relax until a list is complete!
Jen lives with her husband, Brian, two daughters, and two cats in Gahanna, Ohio. She loves reading, musicals, family game nights, and Diet Coke.
Jeremy Jackson, EA
Senior Tax Specialist 👨👩👧 🏌🏼♂️ 🛫
Jeremy has had an entrepreneurial bent since he was young. He is a perpetual list-maker and has a drive toward perfection. After graduating from The Ohio State University with a B.S. in Business Administration and a specialization in Finance, he started and grew a photography business with his wife, Amanda, before being recruited by Charitax.
Jeremy lives in Powell with his wife and daughter. He enjoys playing golf and tennis, going on family walks, traveling (especially in Europe), and making espresso at home. While warm, sunny weather is his favorite, a warm fireplace and a game of cards in the winter isn’t so bad, either.
Jill Bisignano
Director of Operations 👨👩👧👦 🍷 📚
Jill coordinates and organizes behind the scenes to help keep Charitax running smoothly. And she believes there is no substitute for a good paper planner. She is a graduate of Heidelberg University in Tiffin, Ohio with a B.A. in Early Childhood Education and Special Education.
She and Eric live with their 6 kids and cat, Pippa, in Gahanna, Ohio. Outside work, Jill enjoys being involved in her kids’ schools and a JEDI (Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion) mastermind cohort. Some of her favorite things include black coffee, red wine, sunsets, reading fluffy rom-coms, watching football with her kids, and having friends over for dinner.
Katie Bosler
Bookkeeping + Tax Specialist 👨👩👧👦 🏔 🏊♀️
Hailing from Northern Virginia before moving to Ohio, Katie is a problem solver specializing in numbers. She has a B.S. in Mathematics from James Madison University and over eight years of experience in accounting related fields. She has helped manage financials for a small business, as well as a prior career as a math teacher. Katie loves helping people - whether through tutoring students or using her commitment to fiscal organization to help people with Charitax.
When she isn't working, she is spending time with her husband and four kids. She loves laughing, being outside (the mountains are her favorite!), and swimming, which translates to all things water. She is also very involved in her church where she partners alongside her husband helping with the music.
Jen Wingler
Bookkeeping Specialist 🐴 🏈 ☕️
Jen Wingler has spent the last 23 years as the owner and operator of her own Equestrian business. After downsizing to travel with her daughter who is a competitive figure skater, it’s now more of a hobby! The knowledge she gained through managing the finances for her business as well as her husband’s construction company has led her to bookkeeping as a second career.
Jen lives in Alexandria with her husband & daughter and small farm of animals! When not riding & teaching, Jen enjoys being a shopping partner & taxi driver to her daughter, traveling to Alaska where her mom lives, and watching college football. Go Noles!!
Liz Sauber
Tax Specialist ☕️ 👜 🍣
Liz lives with her husband, Justin, and 4 great kids! Liz came to Charitax with many years of honing her organizational skills — from being a store manager at The Limited to teaching a preschool classroom full of 3-year olds! Her kindness, patience, and tidiness serves Charitax clients and coworkers each tax season. Liz is dependable, friendly, and always early to an appointment.
When not preparing taxes, she’s caring for her growing family and taxiing kids to events! Liz enjoys reading, sushi rolls with friends, thrift shopping, a warm cup of coffee, and relaxing with loved ones. Liz volunteers in her daughters’ classrooms and is also a member of her neighborhood book club.
